Hi, I’m Dani — paediatric nurse, sleep consultant, and mum who’s been exactly where you are.
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, with more than ten years’ experience in paediatrics, and two little ones who have put me through near every sleep and medical challenge imaginable, I’ve lived the reality of exhaustion, overwhelm and second-guessing that so many parents face.
But I didn’t always feel confident about sleep.
Not even close.
“I remember sitting on the floor of my daughter’s room at 3am, tears in my eyes…”
I was a paediatric nurse.
I had a postgraduate certificate.
I’d spent years caring for babies with complex health needs.
And still… I was up at 3am wondering what I was doing wrong.
My daughter had allergies, ear infections, feeding issues, slow weight gain and terrible sleep.
My second baby had a completely different temperament and another whole set of challenges.
Between mastitis, a tongue tie, NICU days, RSV, COVID, flu, laryngomalacia, grommets, breastfeeding struggles, weight concerns and every virus Melbourne ever created.... sleep felt impossible.
And the worst part?
I felt like I should know what to do.
But sleep is not one-size-fits-all.
Sleep is deeply impacted by health, temperament, feeding, development, environment — and parenting style.
And when you’re tired, worried and emotionally drained, it’s almost impossible to see your way forward.
Working with a sleep consultant changed everything for me.
For the first time, I had:
-
a plan
-
someone who actually understood
-
someone who removed the guilt and guesswork
It gave us structure…
It gave me confidence…
And it gave our family rest.
That experience — paired with my paediatric nursing background — is why I now help other families find the calm, clarity and sleep they deserve.
My professional background:
I’m not “just” a sleep consultant.
I’ve worked in:
-
a major tertiary paediatric hospital
-
paediatric wards across multiple organisations
-
outpatients
-
nursing education
-
Hospital In The Home (supporting sick babies and toddlers via telehealth during COVID)
I understand the healthcare system inside out — both as a nurse and as a parent who has sat in appointments anxious, exhausted and desperate for answers.
My nursing background means:
-
I start with a health-first approach
-
I can spot red flags others may overlook
-
I know when sleep won’t improve until feeding or medical issues do
-
I understand development, temperament and behaviour
-
I only use evidence-based strategies
And because I’m trained in all settling methods (from gentle to faster approaches), I tailor your plan to:
-
your baby’s temperament
-
your goals
-
your parenting style
-
your emotions
-
your family values
No cookie-cutter schedules.
No rigid methods.
No pressure.
Just a sleep plan that feels right — and works.
Why I do this work now
I’ve lived the sleep deprivation.
I’ve lived the medical stress.
I’ve lived the overwhelm.
I’ve lived the Google spirals.
I’ve lived the “why won’t my baby just sleep?” moments.
And I know how transformational it is to finally have:
-
someone in your corner
-
someone who understands both health and sleep
-
someone who can say, “You’re not failing. Here’s the path forward.”
Every family deserves that level of support.
Every mum deserves to enjoy the early years without exhaustion overshadowing everything.
And every baby deserves sleep that supports their health, growth and development.
If you’re ready to feel supported, understood and confident… I’d love to help.
Your journey doesn’t have to feel this hard.
Let’s make sleep easier — together.
